A good Spotting skill will help to uncover them. However, just as a tip, if this is a generic "Destroy the bandit hideout" quest, here's some pointers that are accurate for Warband and, I assume, are likely accurate for VC :ġ) Bandit Lairs are invisible until they are Spotted. I don't own VC and am not familiar with it.
